Taste of Nature ratifies

Taste of Nature ratifies increases to wages, vacation and personal days with new collective agreement.

The membership working at Taste of Nature in Markham ratified a three-year agreement on August 8, 2024. Workers will receive general wage increases of: Year 1 – $1.55/hour, Year 2 – $.80/hour and Year 3 – $.80/hour.  

Language improvements include:

• There will be a sixth week of vacation added for those with 20+ years of service.
• The boot allowance will increase by $25 to $150 each year.
• Workers will receive an extra personal day for a total of three.
• A new holiday bonus will be paid to employees.  
• Statutory holidays to be paid at eight hours.
• Overtime will be offered to full-time employees before any agency workers provided, they are on shift and have the skill and ability to do the work.
• The employer will pay for the cost of printing the CBA, reasonable meeting room costs and all hours of the negotiating committee.
