Sudbury Wholesale Club ratifies

Sudbury Wholesale Club ratifies wage increases and language improvements with new collective agreement.
Members working at the Wholesale Club in Sudbury ratified a five-year agreement on May 13, 2024. Over the term of the agreement full-time workers will receive wage increases of $4.50/hour and part-time workers will receive $3.20/hour. There will also be minimum wage plus language for part-time at end rate.
Full time members will receive a lump sum payment of $1000, part-time at end rate $500 and part-time in progression $100.
Pension improvements include a $100 per year increase in the RRSP contributions for full-time.
Language improvements include:
- Improved safety footwear language.
- Employer to pay for doctors note.
- New Personal Day for newly hired full-time.
- Stronger protection against unfair discipline.
- Time allotted for stewards to provide orientation to new employees.
- Employer to share cost of printing collective agreement.
