Rekai Centre members secure strong wage gains over two-year agreement

Last month, the members of UFCW Local 175 at Rekai Centre at two locations in Toronto – one on Sherbourne and one on Wellesley – ratified a new collective agreement that will see them through the next two years.

Members secured important wage gains that reflect industry standards and will bring increases of 2.25% in year one and 2% in year two. Premiums also improve by $0.15 per hour over the term of the agreement for Evening, Night, and Weekend shifts. In addition, the agreement contains language for paid reporting time at the end of shifts.

Rekai Centre Members will also benefit from enhanced vision care coverage of $350. New language in the agreement addresses isolation pay and leaves of absence for Union-related education and conferences.
