Peterborough YIG members ratify new collective agreement

UFCW Local 175 members working at Morello’s YIG’s in Peterborough have ratified a five-year agreement on June 23, 2023.

Members will see wage increases effective four weeks after the date of ratification of $0.70, December 16, 2023 – $0.50, December 16, 2024 – $0.40, December 16, 2025 – $0.40, and December 16, 2026 – $0.40 for full and part-time end rate employees retroactive from date of ratification.

All employees on record as of the date of ratification will receive a one-time signing bonus of $250.00.

Other language improvements include:

• Pandemic language
• Gender neutrality reflected throughout the agreement
• National Day for Truth and Reconciliation will be added to the list of holidays for full-time members
