North Bramalea Pharmacy ratifies significant wage increases, additional sick days and paid holidays with new collective agreement.

North Bramalea Pharmacy in Brampton ratified a three-year agreement on August 20, 2024. Wages will increase 16% over the term of the contract.

The employer will provide Maternity and Parental Leave in accordance with the Employment Standards Act of Ontario, and the employer agrees to top up the payments to 100% percent of the employees’ regular wages for up to 52 weeks.

Language improvements include:

  • Increased sick days from 12 to 15 days.
  • The National Day for Truth and Reconciliation will be added to the list of paid holidays.
  • Two floating holidays will be added.
  • Vacation entitlement will increase for those with 25+ years of service to 16% of earnings, and seven weeks.
  • Bereavement language will now include legal guardian and same sex partner.
