Compass Bridgepoint ratifies wage increases and additional paid sick days
The members employed by Compass Group working at Bridgepoint in Toronto unanimously ratified a three-year collective agreement on June 14, 2024.
Members will receive wage increases at Date of Ratification: $0.65 (retroactive to date of expiry), October 1, 2024 – $0.50, February 2025 – $0.62 and February 2026 – $0.68. Minimum wage language was also negotiated to ensure that a gap of 50 cents is maintained.
There will be an increase to the company contribution for benefits from 75% to 80%.
Language improvements include:
- Increase paid sick days from 2 days to 4 days for all employees.
- Overtime to be paid after 40 hours.
- Improved bereavement leave.
- Paid medical documentation up to $40.
