Chartwell Senior Dining ratifies

Chartwell Senior Dining ratifies yearly wage and premium increases with language improvements and gains in new collective agreement.

Compass Group Canada – Chartwell Senior Dining Services in Toronto unanimously ratified a three-year agreement on May 29, 2025. Wages for the members will increase 3.5% in each year of the agreement.

There will also be increases to premiums for Catering from 30 cents to 50 cents per hour and Baker from 50 cents to 75 cents per hour.

Language improvements and gains include:

• Doctor notes reimbursement will increase from $40 to $50.
• Eye glass coverage increases from $200 to $250 every 24 months.
• Slip free shoe allowance increases from $50 to $60 each year.
• Workers will be scheduled for a minimum of four-hour shifts.
• NEW – 18-month sunset clause.
