Best Western Sudbury ratifies wage increases, improvements to language and health and safety with new collective agreement.

The hospitality workers at Best Western in Sudbury ratified a four-year agreement on May 12, 2025.

The deal secures improvements that were made to the Minimum Wage + grid over the term of the agreement. Once members have passed their probationary period their wages will increase from MW+ $0.20 to MW+$0.25. After 12 months wages will increase to MW+ $0.50, after 24 months service MW+ $0.75, and a new tier was added for 48 months service at MW+ $1.00.

Improvements to language will increase the floater days to two at eight years of service.

New safety language was negotiated with roles and responsibilities for both workers and the employer.
