Your Independent Grocer Kirkland Lake ratifies to secure wage increases, a benefit plan for part-time workers and pay equity language.
Kathy & Mark’s Your Independent Grocer in Kirkland Lake ratified a five-year agreement on May 4, 2025.
Wages for full-time members at end rate will increase $4.50 over the term, and part-time at end rate will receive increases of $3.20 in this contract. Members will also receive signing bonuses as follows: full-time – $500, part-time at end rate – $250, all other part-time and students – $50.
We were successful in achieving a benefit plan for part-time employees.
The night shift premium has been increased from $1.15 to $1.20 per hour.
The parties have also agreed to the Union proposal on pay equity.
