Hospitality members at the Prince Arthur Waterfront Hotel & Suites in Thunder Bay have ratified a new three-year collective agreement.

Members benefit from a number of improvements in this renewal collective agreement. The Union Negotiating Committee secured a reduction in hours needed, now 40 per week instead of 44, or eight hours in a day, to qualify for overtime pay. In addition, a new Safety Shoe allowance will provide $100 per year.

Shift premiums now provide $1.50 per hour, up from $1, for Department Head Relief and Night Audit shifts. In addition, members receive additional premiums rewarding their length of service which have improved to provide between $0.50 and $1.10 per hour depending on years of service.

Members will benefit from an increase to four paid sick days, up from three, and the waiting period has been removed.

Union Negotiating Committee: Serena Bradley, Debbie Servantez, and Regional Director, Tracy Stubbs.
