Carlsberg Workers Vote for Union Representation
Carlsberg Canada workers in Kitchener have voted in favour of Union representation, bringing an additional 175 members into the UFCW Locals 175 & 633 family. Workers reached out to UFCW Local 175 Organizers in January 2026 to improve fairness and equality in the workplace, among other things.

Carlsberg Canada workers in Kitchener have voted in favour of Union representation, bringing an additional 175 members into the UFCW Locals 175 & 633 family.
Workers reached out to UFCW Local 175 Organizers in January 2026 to improve fairness and equality in the workplace, among other things.
“While the union drive at Carlsberg had its challenges, in the end, the workers secured an important victory that will let them build a better future for themselves with the support of the Union,” said President Kelly Tosato. “Our focus now is on ensuring that our new members at Carlsberg receive the representation they deserve.”
While the process of bringing a Union drive into the workplace can seem daunting, our Carlsberg Canada members are excited to move forward with bargaining their first collective agreement
The newest members of UFCW Local 175 at Carlsberg Canada Inc., located in Kitchener, Ontario, are responsible for maintenance, quality control, and warehousing at the facility which brews and manufactures several well-known alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
