Wonderbrands ratifies increases to wages with improvements to the wage grid and contract language with new agreement.

The workers at Wonderbrands in Mississauga ratified a three-year agreement on March 29, 2025.

This round of bargaining successfully reduced the wage grid from a five-year progression to a two-year progression.

This deal secures wage increases for full-time in Year 1 of $0.75 to $2.75, Year 2 – $0.50, and Year 3 – $0.50. Part-time wages will improve in Year 1 – $0.25, Year 2 – $0.25, and Year 3 – $0.25.

Premiums will increase for full-time night shift to $1.70, and there will be a new night shift premium for part-time workers of $0.50. Maintenance who are dual ticketed premium will increase to $2.00.

Language improvements include:

  • Bereavement days will increase from three days to five days.
  • Safety footwear allowance increases from $140.00 to $199.99.
  • Tool allowance improves from $300 to $500.
  • Meal allowance will increase from $5 to $20.
  • Sick days for those on 12-hour shifts increase from 24 to 36 hours.
  • The company will pay 100% of the room cost for negotiation.
  • The employer contribution to the Training and Education fund will increase from $500 to $750 per year.
