Wonderbrands Inc. Sudbury ratifies

Wonderbrands Inc. Sudbury ratifies significant wage increases and gains to benefits and language with new contract.
Wonderbrands Inc. in Sudbury ratified a five-year agreement on May 30, 2025. The wages for full and part-time production workers will increase 15%, and maintenance will receive 16.5% over the term of the agreement. Full-time maintenance with five years of service will receive an additional $3.00 per hour, and those who have dual tickets another $2.00 per hour.
Premiums for night shift will increase to $1.25 per hour, and the lead hand premium will now be $2.00 per hour.
Members who continue to work past age 65 will continue to receive benefits as long as they continue to work. The voluntary early retirement allowance will increase by $5000.00 to $15,000.00 with no cap on the number of members who can elect to take the allowance.
Language improvements include:
- Reimbursement for medical notes increased to $50.00.
- Maintenance tool allowance increased to $500.00 per year.
- Meal allowance increased to $20.00.
- NEW: lunch period to be paid when working 12-hour shifts; an important win for these workers.
