Warkworth Place HLDAA award achieves new contract for HOPE Sector members.
In an award dated June 7, 2024, Local 175 HOPE Sector members at Warkworth Place Long-term Care Home secured a two-year collective agreement through the Hospital Labour Disputes Arbitration Act (HLDAA).
Members will receive wage increases of:
- October 1, 2022 – 3.5% general wage increase.
- The PSW wage enhancement will be enshrined in the wage grid before the increase is calculated.
- October 1, 2023 – 3.5% general wage increase.
- June 7, 2024 – 20 cent increase for RPNs.
- July 1, 2024 –RNs will receive significant wage increases resulting in the top rate receiving over $4.00/hour.
