Wage increases are as follows: Year 1 – $0.40, Year 2 – $0.40 and Year 3 – $0.35 across all classification. Wages will be paid retroactively to the date of expiration. Language was also established to ensure a consistent gap between wages and minimum wage. In addition, the employer agreed to pay the negotiating committees wages during negotiations.
Language improvements include pandemic language, gender neutrality reflected throughout and doctor’s notes will be reimbursed at 50% with a receipt. New hires will not have to wait for one year of service to use all 3 float days. In addition, they will receive one float day on January 4, 2022, one on January 4, 2023 and one on January 4, 2024. This will bring the total to six floater days by 2024.
There will be new language for job postings for members on while on vacation. A new Letter of Understanding will be included regarding recall rights and vacation money will be paid out in June and December every year whereas before it was paid out once per year.
