Hospitality workers at the Delta Waterfront in Sault Ste Marie ratify

The members of UFCW Local 175 who work at the Delta Waterfront Hotel and Conference Centre in Sault Ste. Marie have ratified a new collective agreement.

During this round of bargaining, the Union Negotiating Committee secured important new language for our housekeeping members at the Delta Waterfront. Housekeepers will now receive a premium of $5 per room when they are required to clean a ‘pet room.’

Members across all wage rates and classifications will see raises of 3% in each year of the collective agreement term, for a total increase of 12%.

The Training premium will improve to $2 per hour on top of an employee’s regular rate. Members also benefit from improved allowances of $150 per year for safety footwear in the Kitchen/Maintenance classifications, and $85 per year for all other departments’ General Footwear.
