Total wage gains of 11.5% – 15.76% ratified by members at Home Hardware Gananoque

On February 24, 2026, the members of UFCW Local 175 working at the Home Hardware store in Gananoque ratified a new collective agreement with a three-year term.

Wages were the main concern for the retail members for this round of bargaining. As such, the Union Negotiating Committee focused on achieving good increases.

Members will see wage increases between 3.5% and 7.76% in the first year, depending on their classification and rate progression. In year two, members at all rates and progressions receive a 4% increase, plus another 4% in year three. In all, over the three-year term, members will see raises totalling between 11.5% and 15.76%. Plus, members will receive a $100 signing bonus following ratification.

The safety boot allowance improves by 50% to reach $300 per contract year, helping put even more money back into the members’ pockets.

The employer will also improve its contributions to the UFCW Local 175 Training & Education Fund to $300 per year, up from $200.

Union Negotiating Committee: Lorne Tuttle, and Union Representatives Sean Carroll and Mirella Fornieri.
