Hertz Canada Ltd. ratifies

Hertz Canada Ltd. ratifies wage increases, benefit coverage improvements and language gains with new contract for Toronto workers.
Hertz Canada Ltd. in Toronto ratified a three-year agreement on July 30, 2025.
Full and part-time workers who are not in progression will receive $ 1.10/hour in each year of the contract on July 1st. Workers who are in progression will receive increases ranging from 50 to 75 cents per hour. There will be premium increases of: Lead person – $1.25 to $1.50, Off airport VSA – from $.75 to $ 1.00 and Billy Bishop airport CSR – from $.75 to $1.00.
In benefit improvements, a new health spending account was established of $300 each year. There will be an increase to life insurance benefits and dependant insurance for a spouse will increase from $5,000 to $10,000, and each child from $2,500 to $5,000. Basic dental and major services increased to $1,500 per year.
Other language improvements include:
- Increase shoe allowance for VSA/IRR to $160 and Counter agents to $85.
- Medical note coverage increases to $30, and long forms increased to $75.
- The employer contribution to the Training and Education Fund will increase to $900 each year.
- Part-time workers will now be entitled to two floating holidays with pay.
