Grandview Lodge ratifies significant wage increases, premium improvements and early retirement health benefits

Grandview Lodge in Dunville ratified a 3-year agreement on March 20, 2024. Members at top rate will receive wage increases in Year 1 effective January 1, 2024 of: RPN – 11.2%, PSW – 3.5%, Laundry – 2.3%, Dietary – 3.3%, Housekeeping – 3.8% and Cook/Maintenance/Van Attendant – 6.1%.

In Year 2 effective January 1 2025 there will be increases of 3.5% across all classifications and another 3.5% in Year 3 effective January 1, 2026.

There will be premium increases of:

  • RPN premium will increase from $3.00 to $4.50/hour.
  • Weekend premium increases from $0.75 to $0.80 in year 1, $0.85 in year 2, and $0.90 in year 3.
  • Evening premium increases from $0.60 to $0.65 in year 1, $0.70 in year 2, and $0.75 in year 3.
  • Overnight premium increases to $0.75 to $0.80 in year 1, $0.85 in year 2 and $0.90 in year 3.
  • Maintenance on-call premium increases from $1.85 to $2.00/hour.

Language improvements include:

  • Early retirement health and dental benefits for those 60+ years of age with the employer contributing 80%.
  • Uniform/safety footwear allowance increases from $175 to $200 annually.
  • The National Day for Truth and Reconciliation will be added to the list of paid holidays.
