Caressant Care Listowel ratifies wage increases, premium and language improvements in new agreement
Caressant Care Retirement Home in Listowel ratified a two-year agreement on February 15, 2024.
General wage increases will be Year 1- 3.5% and Year 2- 3.5%. Over the term of this collective agreement there will be a $1.00 special wage adjustment for RPNs. There will be a $1.00/hour UCP premium, and an increase to the weekend premium from $0.25 to $0.50.
Other language improvements include:
- Increase in vision care allowance from $325 to $375.
- Mileage increases from $0.40/km to $0.55/km.
- There will be a paid lunch for those members who are required to stay in building during the meal period.
