AIM Neupath ratifies

AIM Neupath ratifies wage increases, benefit and language gains for healthcare workers with new collective agreement.
The membership at AIM NeuPath Group Corp. unanimously ratified a new collective agreement with a three-year term at votes held across the province. Wages for the members will increase 10.75% across all classifications over the term of the agreement. The Medical Office Assistant classification will have a wage grid added for those with service of ten plus years.
In benefit improvements, the dental coverage will now include Major Dental (Braces/Dentures/Orthodontics) at 50%.
Language improvements and gains include:
- There will be a one-time service recognition payment on anniversary of the 15th year of employment in the amount of $500.
- New- Vision Care allowance of $250 per year.
- Bereavement leave – five-day entitlement will now include grandparents.
- Vacation entitlement expedited to receive additional vacation time faster.
- Uniform allowance: Full time – $250, Part time – $125 and Casual – $75, once every year of the contract, and uniforms can be purchased at the member’s retailer of choice (not the employer as previous).
- New – Letter of Understanding – temporary physician absences from clinic may result in cancellation of full-time shifts, the employer undertakes to endeavor to identify suitable available alternative work. The clinic may introduce Saturday work on a voluntary basis as long as it does not exceed 40 hours weekly.
- The employer contribution to the UFCW Training and Education Fund increases from $500 to $700 in each year of the agreement.
