Members at Dev Centre in Cornwall Ratify
May 7, 2026

Hospitality workers at the Dev Centre in Cornwall have achieved a new three-year collective agreement at a ratification vote earlier in April.
The parties met in conciliation to come to an agreement on wage improvements for the members. The resulting ratified agreement contains general wage increases of 2.75% in year one, 3% in year two, and another 3% in year three.
The Union Negotiating Committee bargained for enhanced gratuity language that will provide for better distribution of tips as well as improved overtime language.
To help members save for retirement, new language provides members with employer-matching contributions, up to 2% of an employee’s annual wages, when members contribute to a Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP).
An improved boot allowance now provides $175 for steel toed safety shoes for specific classifications, and $80 for anti-slip safety shoes for members outside those classifications.
Union Negotiating Committee: Steve Bergeron, Oscar Mayer, Terry Rombough, Tiffany Sommers, Union Representative Damian Hulshof, and Regional Director Paul Hardwick.
