Lyfe Group Corp. Members Ratifies Wage and Language Improvements
May 5, 2026
The 170 full-time employees at CapsCanada, now called Lyfe Group Corp., in Windsor have ratified a new collective agreement.
This new agreement includes a number of important language improvements that were sought by the members.

- New double time language applies on the second consecutive day worked for overtime, plus the overtime threshold has been lowered.
- Members previously had to hold two weeks of their vacation time aside for an annual plant shutdown. Now, members only need to hold one week which frees up that second week for employees to use as regular vacation.
Members receive a one-time signing bonus of $500, and will see annual raises totalling $3 per hour over the term of the agreement. Shift premiums improve to provide $0.90 per hour for employees working Nights.
Other negotiated improvements that will help put money back in our members’ pockets include increases to the shoe allowance, now $160 per year, and the Mechanic allowance, now $100 per year.
The Union Negotiating Committee secured improved employer-matching contributions to members’ RRSPs equal to half an employee’s contribution to a maximum of 4% of that employee’s annual earnings.
Dental coverage improves to $1,750, up from $1,500, and eye exams are now covered for $100, up from $40. Paramedical coverage increases to $1,000, and Mental Health is now covered at $500.
Union Negotiating Committee: Kayley Quenneville, Duran St. Pierre, Brian Thompson, and Union Representative Jennifer Hanley.
