The 55 full-time members working at Eco II Manufacturing in Toronto ratified a renewal collective agreement on July 19, 2025.

Wages for the members will increase by a total of 9.25% over the term of the agreement, with the first increase retroactive for hours worked since December 1, 2024. In addition, employees with 20 years of service or more will receive a lump sum payment of $120 per year, which will also be paid retroactively to December 1, 2024.

Eco II Manufacturing members also receive a signing bonus of $150 for those passed probation but fewer than two years of service, and $300 for those with more than two years of service.

The Union Negotiating Committee worked hard to ensure that the members’ benefit plan remained in the agreement. Plus, the Committee bargained a reduction in the percentage amount paid by employees for the benefit plan as well taking them from 50% shared cost to 45%.

Members benefit from an improved safety shoe allowance of $175, up from $125, every two years. A floater day has been added to the agreement, and members with 20 years of service or more are now entitled to four weeks’ vacation per year paid at 8%.
