On May 12 and 13, Locals 175 & 633 hosted the annual Skate for a Cure Hockey Tournament in Hamilton.
This year we celebrated the 20th anniversary of fundraising in support of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada. Thanks to the generous contributions of our sisters, brothers and friends this year’s event raised almost $26,000!
Congratulations to the team from Highbury Canco who took home first place defeating Food Basics Waterloo #690 in an exciting final game on Saturday. Thanks to all the volunteers and players from the teams who took to the ice to raise money for such a great cause: Maple Leaf Hamilton, Sofina Burlington, Zehrs Windsor, Good Humor-Breyers, Jadee Meats, Food Basics Waterloo #690, Highbury Canco, and UFCW Local 175.
