UFCW Locals 175 & 633 Golf Tournament brings in over $56,000
July 15, 2026

For UFCW Locals 175 & 633 members, it was nothing but sunshine and green at the Lionhead Golf Club & Conference Centre in Brampton, Ontario. The day brought Union members, employers, donors and sponsors to the links to take part in the Local Union’s annual 2026 golf tournament. UFCW Local 175 President Kelly Tosato and Secretary Treasurer Jim McLean were present to welcome members and oversee the raffle draw.
Through entry fees, donations, and sponsorships, the 2026 golf tournament brought in more than $56,000.

Participants arrived for a late morning start and received breakfast, premium raffle tickets, and some time to catch up with colleagues and friends. The tournament took the format of an 18-hole scramble format with teams of 4, allowing players of all skill levels to participate and enjoy the clear skies and warm weather.
Members had multiple choices for a welcome gift courtesy of the Lionhead Proshop. Participants’ entry fees also gave them the chance to win premium prizes from the raffle.

“It fills my heart with pride when I see the UFCW community take part in a day filled with camaraderie and sportsmanship. UFCW’s ongoing relationship with the LLSC is only possible because of every member, sponsor, volunteer, donor, and supporter that came out today. Our collective contributions will echo far past the final putt today and continue to help innovate blood cancer research for years to come. Thank you,” said President Kelly Tosato.
For over 40 years, UFCW has been in partnership with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada – a relationship that has raised millions of dollars and has helped fund blood cancer research and equitable access to treatment. Since 1985, UFCW Canada has raised $54 million to advance blood cancer research, support families, and improve care.
