2025 Metro Payroll Deduction Campaign brings in $32,000 for LLSC

Each year, members of UFCW Locals 175 & 633 at Metro and the Barn Market stores across the province take part in a payroll deduction fundraiser for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada (LLSC).
This annual campaign continues to bring in much-needed funding to support the LLSC, and the continued generous contributions of our members are instrumental in helping the LLSC advance research in blood cancer and extend vital support, care, and resources to patients and families.
In the 2025 campaign, members generously signed up to donate $32,303 to support the LLSC!

At each of the above stores, raffles took place for numerous prizes for members who signed up to donate. Photos of this year’s prize winners follow below.
A huge thank-you to all members who participated in this year’s fundraising campaign. Together, we are making significant strides in extending and improving the lives of blood cancer patients.
In December 2025, UFCW Canada celebrated 40 years of partnership with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada. Since 1985, the amazing and generous members of UFCW Canada Local Unions nation-wide, have gone out of their way and reached deep into their pockets to help raise more than $54 million as of 2025!
Our members not only donate, but many organize and run fundraisers every year! We publish photos and info on these events to the site as well as all the other amazing ways our Union Members give back to their communities!
