Windermere ratifies

Windermere ratifies significant wage increases and language improvements with new collective agreement.

The HOPE Sector members working at Windermere on the Mount retirement home in London unanimously ratified a three-year agreement on March 31, 2025.

This deal secures an entirely new wage grid which will result in increases ranging from 12% – 25% over the term as follows:

• Housekeeping/Laundry – 15.6%
• Dishwashers – 25%
• Maintenance – 15.6%
• Assistant Cook – 12.3%
• Cook – 15.6%
• Dietary Aide – 16%

Language improvements include:

• Increase to vision care of $75.
• Additional sick day for both full and part-time.
• NEW – weekend premium.
• Sixth week of vacation entitlement.
