Compass Group Peel District High School ratifies wage increases and language improvements with new agreement

The members employed by Compass Group at Peel District High School in Mississauga unanimously ratified a three-year agreement on February 7, 2024 after a difficult set of negotiations.

Members will see wages increases in each year of the collective agreement as follows: Year 1 – $0.95, Year 2 – 2.5%, and Year 3 – 2.5%. Minimum wage plus $.50 language was also negotiated.

Language improvements include:

• Increased eye coverage from $225.00 to $300.
• Cost of medical notes 100% covered.
• Increased sick days from 4 to 5 days.
• Increased bereavement leave from 3 to 4 days for immediate family, and 4 to 5 days for parent, child and spouse.
