From September 2 – 4, 2025, the elected Metro bargaining committee met in advance of contract negotiations to prepare and finalize proposals received from across the province.
On September 3, Local 175 President Kelly Tosato and Secretary-Treasurer Jim McLean met with the members on the Committee to discuss priorities for this round of bargaining.
Negotiation dates to commence formal bargaining with Metro are scheduled to take place on the following dates:
- September 23, 24 and 25, 2025
- and September 30, October 1, and 2, 2025
Negotiating a contract is a very demanding job and it takes time to complete the process in order to obtain the best contract possible for our Union Members.
It is important as UFCW members to remain united and show Solidarity as Union Members during this time so that your Union can attempt to achieve the negotiated improvements in your contract that you are seeking. UFCW appreciates your patience and support during this time.
