Perth Community Care ratifies
October 1, 2024
Perth Community Care ratifies, avoiding HLDAA process and securing yearly wage increases.
Perth Community Care HOPE Sector members in Perth unanimously ratified a two-year agreement on September 9, 2024.
Wages for the members will increase of 7% over the term of the agreement, with a special wage increase for RPNs in year one of $1 per hour, and year two of 50 cents per hour. Wage increases were a priority for these members and we achieved significant increases while avoiding the HLDAA process.
Language improvements include:
- There will be an increase to the weekend premium of 5 cents an hour.
- The responsibility pay will increase from 75 cents to $2.00 per hour.
- There will be experience credits for RPNs to assist with recruiting RPNs to the home.
Union negotiating committee: Darlene Clement, Debbie Korolew, and Nancy Norris. Union representative: Dean McLaren.
