Quinton Olaveson works at Food Basics in Timmins. Quinton is the head of the produce department, a role he takes very seriously, knowing that his responsibilities impact everyone in his department. He enjoys engaging with customers and helping them with their fresh food needs.

Recently, Quinton took on the role of union steward after a veteran steward retired. He values the community that comes with union membership and takes pride in representing his fellow members in interactions with the employer. Quinton also volunteered for the bargaining committee for the Food Basics Northern Master Agreement. With the support of the union, Quinton is becoming an experienced traveler and a positive influence in his workplace.

Quinton has attended the stewards conference in Sudbury, and participated in the Young Workers Internship Program, an opportunity for young members to get more involved in their union.
