Massey Wholesale ratifies

Massey Wholesale ratifies wage increases and achieves improved benefit coverage and pension contributions.
The membership at Massey Wholesale Ltd. ratified a three-year agreement on November 3, 2024. This deal secures general wage increases of 6% over the term of the agreement with increases in each year.
There will also be increases to the Freezer premium to $1.50 per hour, and the premium for Warehouse employees who deliver in a G class vehicle to $1.26 per hour.
The employer/member pension contribution match will increase to 4.5% up from 4%.
Language improvements include:
- NEW – Physio/Massage Therapy/Chiropractic coverage reimbursed at $400 per year.
- Vision care increased to $325 dollars every 24 months.
- Eye exam coverage increased to $175 every 24 months.
- Dental increased to $1200 per calendar year.
- Uniform allowance increased to $600 per year.
- Drivers’ meal allowance increased to $50.
- Drivers have six sick days which will now be paid at 13 hours per sick day.
- Drivers who are called in and then cancelled will be paid for the four hours call in. If called in and they work, drivers will receive pay for their hours plus four hours for being called in.
The drivers had concerns prior to bargaining and we are pleased to report we were able to successfully address and make significant gains in all the areas they had concerns in.
