Maple Lodge Farms ratifies wage increases and achieves new pension plan for the members with new collective agreement.

The membership working at Maple Lodge Farms in Mississauga ratified a three-year agreement on October 2, 2025.

The deal secures wage increases for all classifications of: Year 1 – $1.25, Year 2 – $0.60 and Year 3 – $0.60. Members in Class 1 will receive a wage adjustment of 45 cents per hour, and the Lead Hand premium will increase from 50 to 75 cents per hour. There will also be a signing bonus paid of $250.

A new pension plan will be introduced on January 1,2027, with an employer contribution of 50 cents for every hour worked to a maximum of 40 hours. A sought out and significant win for these workers.

Other language improvements and gains include:

  • Vision coverage benefits to increase to $350 from $275 effective January 1, 2026.
  • New floater day.
  • Safety shoes allowance increases to $175 up from $150.
  • Overtime will be paid after 40 hours, improved from 44 hours.
  • The employer will provide a hard copy of the benefits book to the employees.
  • The employer will pay 100% of eight hours wages for three employees on the negotiation committee, up to a total of five days per employee.
