Grober Nutrition ratifies

Grober Nutrition ratifies wage increases and improvement to benefits and language with new collective agreement.
Workers in Cambridge employed at Grober Nutrition Inc., ratified a three-year agreement on July 14, 2025.
Members will receive wage increases in each year of the agreement of: Year 1 – $0.65, Year 2 – $0.50 and Year 3 – $0.50. This follows a mid-term unscheduled general wage increase of $1.50 per hour in 2023. Additionally, the wage grid has been reduced from 36 to 18 months, and the lead hand premium will increase from $1.25 to $1.50 per hour.
In benefit improvements, workers will now have coverage after completion of their probation period. Paramedical coverage increased from $500 combined to $1000, and vision allowance increases from $250 to $275. The life insurance and AD&D benefit improves from $35,000 to $40,000, and the STD cap will increase to $500 in 2026 and then again in 2027 to $550.
Other language improvements include:
- Doctor’s note reimbursement increases from $25 to $40.
- One floater day achieved.
- Bereavement days increase from two to three days.
- Tool reimbursement increases from $180 to $225.
- Boot allowance improves to $160 from $125.
- Stat holidays will be paid at eight or ten hours depending on a worker’s shift, deleting ESA calculation language.
