Ford Government: Implement priority vaccines for frontline essential workers.
April 19, 2021
Recently the UFCW OPC on behalf of nearly 130,000 UFCW members in Ontario, sent letters to the Ford government and the Chief Medical Officer from Peel Region to implement priority vaccines for frontline essential workers.
“Our members continue to serve their communities on the frontline of the pandemic – they do not have the option to work from home. Those that work, commute and live-in high-risk regions face even greater risk of exposure. Implementing mobile vaccination clinics immediately at high-risk workplaces, like grocery stores and food processing plants located in hotspots would go a long way to saving lives and ensuring an enduring economic recovery.”
Please reach out to your MPP to tell them the same. You can find contact information for all MPPs and Minsters here: https://www.ola.org/en/members
We continue to advocate on behalf of our members for pandemic pay, paid sick days and priority access to a vaccine for anyone who wishes to have one. Read our letters here:
