Foodland Corunna ratifies language improvements; wage increases and wage guarantee for part-time workers with minimum wage plus language in new collective agreement. 

The retail grocery workers at Foodland in Corunna ratified a three-year agreement on December 29, 2025.

Full-time clerks will receive wage increases of 80 cents per hour over the term, and Meat cutters will receive increases of $1.90 per hour over the term. With this deal we were able to introduce a Minimum Wage+ grid for part-time workers who will receive 75 cents per hour over term. All increases will be retroactive to the date of expiry. 

There will be an increase to premiums of: Manager relief premium increased to $2.50 up from $2.00 per hour, and part-time premium increased to $1.25 from 75 cents, payable per hour for all hours worked in excess of 30 hours per week.  

Language improvements include: 

  • Bereavement leave increases for grandchild to three days up from one day for both full and part-time members. 
  • Full-time members with 20 years or more seniority have the option to be scheduled every other weekend off.  
  • Articles regarding discrimination and domestic violence leave updated to reflect current legislation.  
  • All arbitration language updated to reflect current UFCW practices and procedures.  
  • The collective agreement will be updated to reflect gender neutrality throughout.
