Carriage House ratifies

Carriage House ratifies yearly wage increases and improvements to language and vacation entitlement with new contract.

The HOPE Sector healthcare workers at The Carriage House Retirement Residence in Oshawa ratified a two-year agreement on December 16, 2025.
This deal secures wage increase of 3.5% in each year of the term. The shift premiums (afternoon, overnight and weekend) will also increase by 10 cents per hour.
The employer will now match employee RRSP contributions at a rate of1%.
Language improvements and gains include:
- Vision Care allowance will increase by $25.
- New – a seventh week of vacation entitlement is achieved after 30 years service.
- Letter of Understanding Re: The 4th floor added to the agreement.
