Cargill London and Ingersoll ratifies

Cargill workers in London and Ingersoll ratify yearly wage increases and improvements to benefits and language with new collective agreement.
The industrial food workers at Cargill London and Ingersoll ratified a five-year agreement on October 29, 2025.
Wages for the members will increase in each year as follows: Year 1 – $1.00 per hour, and 50 cents per hour in each of the remaining years of the term. The FSQR Department will receive an additional 50 cents per hour and the Distribution Department an extra 25 cents per hour. There will also be a signing bonus of $1000.
The dental benefit has improved to $2000 per year per family member up from $1500 and the ODA has changed to the current year fee schedule.
Other language improvements include:
- Safety Footwear – increased from $160 to $200 annually.
- Physiotherapy – increased $200 annually.
- Massage – increase to $200 annually.
- Vision – increase from $75 to $150 every 24 months for eye exams.
- Bereavement language will include step-father-in-law, step-mother-in-law, step-grandfather-in- law, step-grandmother-in-law.
- The Ingersoll facility is now entitled to the enhanced severance package; a significant achievement for these workers.
- There is now language to ensure the employer cannot schedule break times less than 1.75 hours prior to the start of their shift; a sought-out achievement.
- We have increased the representation for negotiating committee to include the Ingersoll facility.
