Amalgamated Transit Union ratifies new collective agreement with wage increases and improved benefits with health spending account.
Amalgamated Transit Union members in Mississauga ratified a three-year agreement on December 3, 2024. Wages for the members will increase in Year 1 – $10, 000 lump sum added to base salary, Year 2 – 3%, and Year 3 – 3%.
There will be a new health spending account introduced in the amount of $500, available January 1st in each year of the agreement.
The Administrator classification will be deleted and new classifications of Administrator Level 1 and Administrator Level 2 will be added to the bargaining unit. The current member in the Administrator bargaining unit position will be promoted to the Administrator Level 2 position, maintaining the higher classification and seniority.
Members can defer one week of vacation once every 3 years.
