The healthcare workers at WellFort Community Health Services have voted in favor of Union representation. The new bargaining unit brings in 35 members into the UFCW Locals 175 & 633 family.

The new bargaining unit at WellFort Community Health Services is composed of nurses, personal support workers, team leads, and office administration workers. The healthcare workers are in pursuit of a more inclusive environment, specifically one that prioritized equitable treatment and standardized processes.

WellFort Community Health Services is a not-for-profit organization that provides health services to individuals and families in the Peel region of Ontario. Some of their services include healthcare awareness and educational programs for illnesses such as diabetes, HIV, and hepatitis C.

Planning your life around unpredictable working hours can be difficult. With the introduction of a Union contract, healthcare workers can work towards establishing transparent scheduling procedures and have clear protection against unfair treatment. Joining UFCW Local 175 allows the healthcare workers of WellFort Community Health Services to begin this process and foster a supportive workplace for everyone.

WellFort healthcare workers, congratulations on this milestone! Welcome to your Union!
