Significant wage gains and more ratified by Aramark Sherbourne members
On February 5, 2026, the members of UFCW Local 175 working for Aramark at a the Sherbourne location in Toronto, ratified a new three-year collective agreement. The deal includes solid wage gains and a number of other improvements.
Members at the top rate will receive increases of 3.75% in year one, 3.25% in year two, and 3% in year three. The initial increase of 3.75% is also retroactive for hours worked since the expiry of the previous agreement.
This agreement will see the introduction of important Minimum Wage Plus (MW+) language which ensures that employees will never receive less than $0.30 per hour over the provincial minimum wage. As a result, start rates for Housekeepers improve right away, and the first-year rate is now MW+ $0.50 per hour.
Premiums improve to provide an increase of $0.25 per hour for the night shift. A new premium of $0.50 per hour will apply for working on the 3rd floor. This new premium was an important priority and significant win for these members as work on the 3rd floor is more labour intensive.

Members will benefit from an increase to their vision care coverage which improves to $300 every two years, effective September 2, 2026. Part-time employees receive an additional sick day bringing their total to three per year, effective January 1, 2027. Full-time employees receive an additional Float Day, now totalling two per year, as of January 1, 2027 as well.
The shoe allowance will increase to $150 per year, up from $125, or $300 every two years, up from $250. Improvements to bereavement leave language now include the death of brothers- and sisters-in-law to the entitlement.
The employer will pay 50% toward the cost of the lost-time for the Union Negotiating Committee and meeting rooms. In addition, the employer’s contributions to the UFCW Local 175 Training & Education fund increases to $250 per year.
