A bright and early start to the StreetFair on Saturday morning!

After a two-year hiatus, Toronto Pride 2022 was back this past weekend, bigger than ever.

On Sunday, June 26, hundreds of thousand marched, sang and danced with Pride along the streets of Toronto.

UFCW Locals 175 & 633 Members and staff, along with Local 1006A and UFCW Canada, volunteered their time at the UFCW StreetFair booth over the weekend to welcome Pride-goers and introduce them to the Union and the labour movement.

“We want our members to know that we not only support them in their workplaces but also in their community. Our Union is among one of the most progressive and inclusive and we pride ourselves on breaking down barriers and providing support for the LGBTQI2S+ community among others,” said President Haggerty.

The UFCW contingent walking in the Toronto Pride parade 2022.Your Union strives to be inclusive every day. Whether by adding gender inclusive language in our Collective Agreements, sponsoring events, providing training, or ensuring our Members’ pronouns are respected; your Union is here for you.
