YMCA Midland votes YES!
August 22, 2017
Another group of workers vote to join the Union!
At a vote held on August 15th, 55 workers employed as full and part time Child Care Workers and Early Childhood Educators at the Midland YMCA voted in favour of joining our union.
These workers want improved job security, wages and benefits. They also identified that favouritism is a problem in their workplace. “There are different rules and policies for different people,” stated union organizer Farman Ali. “These workers want to be treated with fairness and equality and that is why they contacted our union.”
Congratulations and welcome to our new members!
