Workers’ Comp Rep Sarah Neath Awarded for Activism
November 25, 2018
On Thursday November 22nd, the Waterloo and Guelph Labour Councils co-hosted their annual Health and Safety dinner at the Puslinch Community Centre.
Each year, these Labour Councils partner with the Workers’ Health and Safety Centre to hold a special evening to acknowledge those who work hard all year long promoting health and safety in workplaces. The people who are recognized, represent workers every day in the prevention of occupational illnesses and injuries.
This year we are proud to report that Local 175 Workers’ Compensation Representative Sarah Neath was presented with the first ever Prevention Link Activist Award! This award recognizes Sarah’s efforts in assisting our Members with their WSIB claims, along with her community and political activism in Guelph.
Congratulations Sarah, this award is well deserved!
