Workers at Aramark Bridgepoint Hospital ratify a new agreement

Our members in Toronto working in the cafeteria food services at the Bridgepoint hospital ratified a new collective agreement on September 28, 2021. Wage increase will include a 2% increase to all classifications in 2021 retro to date of expiry and 2% in both years 2022 and 2023.

Other improvements include that the vison care entitlement will increase from $250 to $300 and new language will allow for all medical notes to be reimbursed up to $25 for an unlimited number of times throughout the term of the agreement. The safety shoe allowance will increase from $25 to $50. Bereavement day entitlement will increase from 3 to 4 days for immediate family members and from 1 to 2 days for step family members.

Language will be included to provide for new letters of agreement with regard to Bill 124 as it pertains to wage increases, time limits and PPE.
