Windsor members at Caps Canada ratified a new agreement with retroactive wage adjustments

The Caps Canada members in Windsor have a new four-year agreement that was ratified on February 17, 2022.
The members will see wage adjustment increases to rates of pay effective October 12, 2021 for all hours worked including overtime hours as follows:
- Janitorial & Finisher – $1.22
- Utility – $3.15
- Floater & Shippers – $ 3.41
- QA & Operators – $4.80
- Gel & HPC Techs – $5.14
- Mechanics – $7.12
Wage increases will be: October 12, 2021 – $0.60 retroactive, October 12, 2022 – $.65, October 12, 2023 – $.70, and October 12, 2024 – $.75. The shift premium will increase from $.60 to $.75 per hour and there will be a $500.00 bonus paid two weeks after date of ratification.
The RRSP contributions will increase from 2.55% to 3% and other benefit improvements include a vision allowance increase from $220.00 to $300.00, massage therapy coverage from $750.00 to $1000.00
Other language improvements will increase paid sick days from 2 to 4 days and bereavement leave from 3 to 4 days. Paid break periods will increase to 25 minutes up from 20. Members will receive one personal day per year and the boot allowance will increase to $140.00. The employer will contribute $500.00 to the Training and Education fund, an increase from $250.00 previously.
