UFCW Local 459 members merge with Local 175

Three hundred eighty-nine members of UFCW Local 459 have joined the membership of Local 175.
The merger brings the hardworking people at Highbury Canco (formerly the Heinz plant) in Leamington, and Cavendish Appetizers and Milo-FAIS in Wheatley, into our local Union.
“I want to welcome our newest members and their families,” said President Shawn Haggerty. “Our Local Unions share the same vision for advancing workers’ rights and I know that this merger only strengthens the solidarity of our membership.”
