Workers at Good Humor-Breyers in Simcoe turned down an agreement presented to them at a meeting held earlier today. The 375 workers will continue their strike action, which began on September 1.
“These workers are united,” said President Haggerty. “They will continue to hold the picket line strong and will have the full support of the Union in doing so.”
Outstanding issues for the striking workers continue to be job reductions, the reduction of the paid workweek by up to 2.5 hours, and hours of work.
