Fearmans Pork Union Steward raises money for the communityRichard White has been a proud long-standing member of UFCW Local 175 for decades.

He works at the Fearmans Pork plant in Burlington and became active as a Union Steward in 2003. Like many other members of UFCW Local 175, Richard also likes to get involved within his community to offer support.

Richard volunteers his time with the Kinsmen of Grimsby. One of the many events that Richard assists with is the Kinsmen Club of Grimsby’s Annual Greater Grimsby Mini-Putt fundraiser. This is a one-day event which sells out in less than two days typically. At the yearly fundraiser, which took place on March 10 this year, 30 teams of four mini-putt their way through local businesses while raising money for the West Lincoln Memorial Hospital Project X-ray campaign.

Along with the Kinsmen, Richard and many other volunteers and supporters are proud to have raised $15,000 at this year’s event.

Richard wanted to thank UFCW Local 175 and all the other groups whose support make this event a success. “With the help of everyone, the Kinsmen are able to achieve what their charter states,” said Richard, “giving to our community’ greatest need.”

Keep up the amazing work, Richard! We’re proud to have you as a member of UFCW Locals 175 & 633.
